  Mangus  1992 - 2007

The greatest friend, the loyal defender, the tireless worker-all more than I deserved. I will miss you

Mangus,  was a Master at all trades dog, working patrol/narcotics/human remains/tracking.  A special accomplishment for him when you consider that his life was almost cut short when he was diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia at age 4 months. But his intense drives and heart bought him a special place in our hearts.  His first replacement hip surgery was at age two, and his second was just after he worked the Flight 93 crash site at age 9.   During his career he has help recovered 27 bodies, both in land and water, and had two live finds thru tracking, one an 8 year old girl. His last recovery was at age 12.

Strega, our Czech German Shepherd does tracking and human remains detection.  She has a very pronounced hunt drive and super work ethic.

Azah, a female Beauceron from one of my breedings, is a disaster / wilderness dog.  She has the endurance of a hound, and the tenacity of a bull.  A very intense dog. Both of her parents were wilderness dogs as well. More on Azah here.
