Explanation of the French Titles:

Cotation 1 - Confirme  Permanent Pedigree issued.  The dog is recognized as conforming to the Standard of the Breed by an accredited judge.

Cotation 2 - Premier Choix The Confirmed dog has obtained the grade of Tres Bon (Very Good) or Excellent in morphology in morphology (Conformation) and Excellent in character at a Regional exposition.

Cotation 3 - Excellent The Confirmed dog has obtained the grade of Excellent in morphology and Excellent in character at an inter-regional or national level exposition and is negative for hip dysplasia.

Cotation 4 - Recommande The dog, in addition to being awarded Excellent was selected as among the best at the National Exposition.

Cotation 5 - Elite B The dog is not itself titled Recommande, but it is not dysplastic and has produced or sired the required number of titled offspring.

Cotation 6 - Elite A  The dog has obtained the title of Recommande, and has produced or sired the required number of titled offspring

Titled offspring required: Eight descendants from two different females for the sire, and 5 descendants from the females

    Mavrick is a very trainable, fearless and loyal dog, typical of what the breed is.  He is not a large dog, very agile and at almost 11 years of age, very healthy.  He is rock solid in all environments and no noise issues. His daughter, Azah, inherited these traits, along with more drive for hunting.
